Elizabeth Appleby - Apprenticeship Advisor, Creative and Cultural Skills
I currently work at Creative and Cultural Skills on one of our flagship projects the Creative Apprenticeship.
Prior to Creative and Cultural Skills I worked for a training provider for two years in London delivering apprenticeships in business. This gave me the chance to see how vocational education can be successfully embedded in the workplace and give people an idea of the realities of the area they wish to work in.
Prior to this I studied Music Production and Technology, finishing up with a degree in Music. Although I wanted to be a sound engineer at the start by the end I had changed my mind and decided that wasn’t for me. I wasn’t sure what area I did want to go into and would have benefited hugely from some industry experience at this point to expose me to the opportunities available to me.
Outside of work I do some djing here and there and play my bass guitar when I get the chance.
