Simon Quance

Simon started his music career in Production at Polydor Records in 1988.

From there he moved to Rough Trade Distribution and then to Independent Hip Hop Label Gee Street Records as Label Manager. Moving with Gee Street when they signed a label deal at Island Records in 1991, he stayed working with Chris Blackwell’s West London label for 9 years.

Seeing the potential of digital promotion and distribution, he moved to Legal MP3 site Peoplesound as Marketing Manager in 2000, establishing a fledgling Music PR service during his 3 year stay.

After returning to hometown Sheffield in 2002 he set up an internet music consultancy, focussing on web PR and marketing service innovations. Clients including Universal, Atlantic Records and Hyperlaunch New Media.

In 2005 he moved to Bristol to join Hyperlaunch New Media full time, continuing to focus in online PR and service innovations, ultimately seeing him head up and establish the Buzz Marketing department.
